The Golden State Warriors stand a great chance to beat the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night in Texas. They are curretly leading the series by 3-0, but they might be one player short since Otto Porter Jr. is listed as doubtful to play this Tuesday due to an injury to his left foot.
Sadly, this adds up to the absence of Gary Payton II, who got a broken elbow in the series against The Memphis Grizlies.
Anthony Slater of The Athletic Tweeted: “Otto Porter Jr. is doubtful for tomorrow, per Steve Kerr. Said he “wasn’t feeling terrible” this morning and it’s “definitely good news” considering how it looked.”
The Warriors have not made it to the playoffs since 2019 when they lost the NBA Finals to the Toronto Raptors.
If they win this Tuesday they would be headed to their sixth NBA Finals in the last eight seasons, which no other team in the entire league has done over that time span.
Fans are hoping for Porter to make a recovery and for the Warrios to achieve championship for the first time in many, many seasons.
