How to play Vermont´s Lottery Pick 3
PICKING NUMBERS
On a Pick 3 play slip mark the play type (straight, box, front pair, back pair or single digit), time of day desired, (DAY, EVE, or BOTH) amount of bet ($.50 to $5.00 per bet), and select three (3) numbers (2 numbers if only playing Front Pair or Back Pair or 1 number on a single digit play) and number of draws for each panel.
On a Pick 3 play slip, mark the QUICK PICK (QP) box at the bottom of the panel on each play to let the computer terminal randomly pick the numbers for you. You must still determine the play type, time of day desired, amount of bet and number of draws for each panel. You cannot select 6-way or 3-way box bets (see below) on a Quick Pick bet. Each Quick Pick will be a $.50 play for the next available draw unless another draw time, draw day or dollar amount is selected.
You may purchase a ticket good for up to 42 consecutive draws by filling in the number of draws from the Multi Draws column. You may also purchase up to 21 consecutive Day draws only or 21 consecutive Evening draws only.
Draws are held Daily at 1:10 PM and 6:59 PM with a cutoff of 1:00 PM and 6:45 PM to purchase tickets for the draw. All draw times are based on Eastern Time.
PICK 3 MATCHES, PRIZES AND ODDS — $1 PLAY:
3-NUMBER PLAYS
STRAIGHT – Win $500
If your 3-digit number matches the winning number IN EXACT SEQUENCE, you win $500. ODDS 1:1000 Example: You pick 123 One way to win: 123
BOX (3-way) – Win $166
If your 3-digit number matches the winning number IN ANY SEQUENCE and contains 2 identical numbers, you win $166. All 3 of your numbers must match the 3 numbers drawn. ODDS 1:333 Example: You pick 112 Three ways to win: 112, 211, 121
BOX (6-way) – Win $84
If your 3-digit number matches the winning number IN ANY SEQUENCE and contains 3 unique numbers, you win $84. ODDS 1:167 Example: You pick 123 Six ways to win: 123, 321, 231, 132, 312, 213
2-NUMBER PLAYS – WIN $50
FRONT PAIR
If your 2-digit number matches the first 2-digits of the winning number IN EXACT ORDER, you win $50. ODDS 1:100 Example: You pick 12x One way to win: The first 2 digits drawn are 12
BACK PAIR
If your 2-digit number matches the last 2-digits of the winning number IN EXACT ORDER, you win $50. ODDS 1:100 Example: You pick x34 One way to win: The last 2 digits drawn are 34
1-NUMBER PLAYS – WIN $5
Single Wager:
Your Single Digit bet: 1XX or X2X or XX3 Winning number example: 123 If the single number you selected matches the winning number in the exact position, you win $5.00 ODDS 1:10
HOW TO FIND WINNING NUMBERS
Twice a day, at 1:10 PM and 6:55 PM (ET), Sunday through Saturday, a 3-digit number will be drawn. You can win by matching numbers as described above for the draws that you played. Pick 3 Drawings are viewable by visiting www.nhlottery.org. Winning numbers are also available at Vermont Lottery agent locations (where Pick 3 is sold) following the draw, or by calling 1-800-322-8800 (VT only) or 1-802-479-5686. IMPORTANT!
Check your ticket(s) carefully. Be sure your ticket accurately reflects the numbers you want to play. Your play slip does not constitute evidence of a ticket purchase or of numbers selected.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Tri-State Pick 3 tickets may be cancelled. Cancellation is restricted to the date and location of purchase. Pick 3 tickets purchased for a drawing on the purchase date must be cancelled prior to that day’s drawing.
CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE
- Sign the back of your Pick 3 ticket in the space provided. YOU MUST PRESENT THE TICKET TO CLAIM A PRIZE.
- If your prize is less than $500, take your winning ticket to any Vermont Lottery agent locations where Pick 3 is sold for validation and payment.
- If your prize is $500 or more, obtain a Claim Form from a Vermont Lottery sales agent location where Powerball is sold. Follow the instructions on the Claim Form to submit your claim.
- Any prize can be claimed at the Vermont Lottery. Cash prizes from $500 to $5,000 can be claimed at any People’s United Bank in Vermont. Claim Forms are available at the Vermont Lottery and at any People’s United Bank.
- IMPORTANT: All prizes must be claimed within one (1) year of the winning draw date on the ticket.
